Eligibility and Permission

Turner Publishing Company (TPC), an independent book publisher, is the sponsor of this contest. TPC markets bonus book bundles under the Editor’s Exclusives (Ed-X) brand.

This contest is void where prohibited. The contest is open to any person 18 years of age or older as of the date of their entry. No purchase is necessary. TPC employees, contractors, authors, and members of their families or households are not eligible for participation. The offer is valid only in the continental U.S.

The contest will begin on 1 December 2018 and weekly prize winners will be drawn at 12 PM CST on 7 December 22018 and at 12 PM CST on 14 December 2018. The final drawing will end at 12 PM CST on 21 December 2018, at which time the grand prize winner will be announced.

You must provide a valid first and last name and email address in order to submit your entry. By entering this contest, you are granting permission to TPC and/or Ed-X to send you other book offers, news, and contest notices. You may opt out at any time without affecting your eligibility for winning any prize in the You Win, We Give Book Giveaway. TPC and/or Ed-X do not share, rent, or sell the information you provide. Acceptance of any of the three prizes shall constitute and signify your agreement and consent to use your name, likeness, public social posts, and/or prize information for advertising and promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited.

Weekly Prizes

TPC will draw a weekly prize winner on 7 December 2018 and on 14 December 2018. Each winner will be awarded 40 of TPC’s most popular books in paperback or hardcover format. TPC will ship the winner’s prize via UPS ground.

Grand Prize

TPC will draw the grand prize winner on 21 December 2018 and will award 40 of TPC’s most popular books in paperback or hardcover format. TPC will contact the winner immediately to secure the ship to address. If this information is received before end of business on 21 December 2018, TPC will ship the winner’s prize via overnight delivery and make its best effort to ensure delivery by 24 December 2018. In the event the shipment is delayed for any reason, TPC shall not be held responsible, no matter the cause.

In addition to the award of 40 books to the winner, TPC will award 260 books to a library in the continental U.S. chosen by the winner.

By claiming the prize, except for shipping costs, the winner accepts all other costs of winning the prize, including any tax or assessment liability that may arise. The prize is non-transferable and must be accepted as offered, as there will be no substitutions and no cash equivalent.

General Conditions

Errors or omissions Sponsor is not responsible for deleted, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, or illegible entries. Sponsor, and it affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and internet access providers are not responsible for incorrect entry of information by entrants, or technical malfunctions of any telephone network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof, entry materials that have been tampered with, human error, or lost/delayed data transmission; or transactions that are processed late, incorrectly or lost due to computer or electronic malfunction.

Waiver By entering the sweepstakes, winner and entrants agree to waive any and all claims against the sponsor, its affiliates, employees, agents, and representatives for personal injury or loss that may occur from participation in the sweepstakes or from the receipt of use of any prize.

Entry validity In the event of a dispute over the identity of an internet entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the holder of the email account at time of entry. If sponsor determines in its sole discretion that any suspected or actual electronic tampering with the promotion occurs, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the promotion, the sponsor, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to void any entries submitted fraudulently and cancel or modify the promotion. Any attempt by any entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of the promotion is in violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. TPC/Ed-X reserve the right to reject any individual submission that is deemed to be fraudulent.

Early termination of contest Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel this promotion if it becomes technically corrupted such that it cannot be conducted as originally planned and select winners by random drawing from among all eligible entries received by this termination date. Should the promotion be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, notice will be posted at www.editorsexclusives.com as an addition to the official rules.

No warranty SPONSOR AWARDS PRIZES SUBJECT ONLY TO MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY, WITHOUT WARRANTY BY SPONSOR OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITHOUT LIMITATION. SOME MANUFACTURERS RESTRICT THE TRANSFER OF THE SOFTWARE LICENSE.

Compliance with US tax regulations Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. It is the policy of the sponsor, in compliance with United States Internal Revenue Service regulations, to send a Form 1099 to any winner, that resides in the United States, receiving a prize valued in excess of $600 (USD), that requires the disclosure of the winner’s social security number. The winner remains solely responsible for paying all federal and other taxes in accordance with the laws that apply in their state of residence.
